About Sarah Friedmann

Sarah Friedmann is a writer, editor, researcher, and advocate with an extensive background in international and U.S. rights-based work, particularly in the areas of women's issues, racial justice and equality, politics and governance, peace and security, and civil society engagement.

Sarah believes it is essential to research and write for a variety of audiences as a means of bridging the divide among academia, research institutions, think tanks, NGOs, legislators, and the public. Therefore, she chooses to work in and across a variety of spaces, as a means of trying to make important issues salient for as many as possible in hopes of most comprehensively and effectively addressing them.

Sarah writes and edits pieces for publication and for internal use by organizations. She's produced articles, blogs, reports, memos, handbooks, toolkits, and beyond. Some samples of her publicly-available work are shared on this website.
